Pancake Day was celebrated for a good cause, at Droichead Resource Centre in Callan, this year!
Batter was crisping and tea was flowing on Tuesday morning as the local community gathered to raise funds for Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre. Cois Nore holds regular outreach sessions at Droichead.
Cois Nore is currently fundraising for the development of its new home on the Waterford Road, on the outskirts of Kilkenny City. The signing of contracts for that recently took place.
At that signing Bill Cuddihy, Cois Nore’s Chairperson said: “We need to continue our campaign to raise funds to support local people affected by cancer. Our target is €2m, and to date we have collected approximately €700k. We have more to do, but Kilkenny people have been and continue to be extremely generous. Every euro collected will be used to support our neighbours, our friends or our family members”. If you wish to donate or get involved visit https://coisnore.ie/ways-to-donate/
