Tánaiste Simon Harris visited the home of the 3rd Infantry Batallion at James Stephens Barracks in Kilkenny on Thursday.
The Tánaiste was welcomed to the barracks by an honour guard led by Sgt Adrian Allen. The Tánaiste was then shown the new facilities in the barracks such as the new accommodation for living in personnel, the DBO yard which is currently under construction and the new gym where he met the 176th recruit class who were undergoing a circuit class.
