The Tholsel Bar, 8 High Street, Kilkenny
The Tholsel is an established bar premises on High Street in the very heart of Kilkenny City. The premises has been in the ownership of the Lawlor family and is renowned as the 'Rugby Pub' of Kilkenny, with the property proving to be a popular meeting place for sports fans.
After a period of closure, planning permission was lodged with Kilkenny County Council in 2023 and it received conditional approval last June.
Works are ongoing at the premises with minor works to the existing bar area while there is a change of use of the three upper floors from residential to short term letting.
