Pictures! Family fun at first Pride festival in Thomastown

Kilkenny town celebrates

For the very first time, Thomastown hosted a fabulous Pride festival on Saturday!

With the sun shining, music playing and bright, beautiful rainbows everywhere from flags and fans to face paints, it was a successful first event for the local committee.

The day began at the Pride Village - with family entertainment and craft stalls. Later in the day the party moved to local pubs where there was lots of musical entertainment.

Organisers of Thomastown Pride were motivated by the idea that small towns deserve to celebrate Pride with the rest of the world.

Photographer Vicky Comerford was on hand for Kilkenny Live to take the great photographs in this gallery. Click the next arrow above to scroll through the gallery!
