Gallery: Kilkenny's 24-hour theatre takeover!

Six productions from script to show in a day!

The 24-Hour Theatre Takeover returned to the Watergate Theatre, last weekend, for another electrifying edition of live theatre created in real time — with six original plays written, rehearsed and performed in just 24 hours!

The event was in aid of the Kilkenny Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Group and organised by Thomastown playwright Gillian Grattan.

On Friday, at 8pm, six writers started an overnight sprint to create brand new scripts. By 10am on Saturday, directors and a cast of volunteer actors began rehearsing and preparing for the final performance at 8pm that evening! The fantastic event was a huge success. Pictured in the following gallery are some of those who took part and enjoyed the final productions! Thanks to Gillian Grattan for the photographs. Click the next arrows above to see lots more!
