However, it was the farming and community heart of the show that attracted another bumper attendance to the showgrounds.
With championships in the cattle and sheep classes, several horse classes, including showjumping, and even a dog show, there as plenty to interest both the farmer and animal lover.
Tradition community hobbies and skills were also on display. From beekeeping to bun making, there were exhibits and competitions to take in.
The show was not only a multi generational affair, but a multi era affair! The youngest ‘competitors’ lined up (on mammy’s knee) for the bonny baby competition while on the fashion show stage there were costumes from the distant past on display.
Showgoers were also treated to live musical entertainment.
