Severe flooding has left people in parts of Thomastown, Graignamanagh, Callan and Inistioge assessing the consequences and the cost of heavy rainfall over the past week. - PICTURES BELOW
Streets and rural roads in the County Kilkenny towns and their environs have become impassable with further rainfall expected over the weekend.
A Status Yellow rain warning issued by Met Eireann is in place until midnight (Friday) but will already saturated grounded, further rainfall is likely which will prolong the challenges faced by local communities.
