The exciting journey of the new Kilkenny Rose has begun - even though our next Rose hasn’t been chosen yet!
Last Thursday evening the first get-together for this year’s Kilkenny Rose hopefuls took place in the city.
In the company of two special Kilkenny guests - reigning Kilkenny Rose Lisa O’Rourke who has spent the last two years proudly representing Kilkenny and making unforgettable memories along the way, and Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins, who is also a Kilkenny lady, now lighting up the dance floor on Dancing with the Stars every weekend - the hopefuls had a fun evening of getting to know each other and learning more about what it takes to be a Rose.

The ‘rose pink’ evening was held, fittingly, in Valley of Roses, on Rose Inn Street.
If you’d love to follow in the footsteps of Lisa and Katelyn, now is the time. Entering the Rose of Tralee really can lead to endless opportunities.
Our 2026 Kilkenny Rose will be chosen in just a few weeks, and there are only a few places remaining before entries close.
After this year, the next Kilkenny Rose will not be selected until 2028 so don’t delay! Sign up today!
