Pictures: Rose Katelyn reaches final of Dancing With The Stars

RTE will broadcast the Glitterball final next Sunday

After an intense ‘Dancing through the Decades’ themed semi-final, Kilkenny's Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins has stepped her way into the final of Dancing With The Stars!

On a night when Katelyn's dancing was so good that even hard-to-impress judge Brian Redmond gave her a standing ovation, she performed two routines with her pro partner Leonardo Lini.

Katelyn and  Leonardo danced a Charleston to ‘Charleston’ by Bob Wilson & His Varsity Rhythm Boys. Katelyn and Leonardo then danced a Samba to Beyoncé’s iconic ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring On it)’, alongside pro dancer Alex Vladimirov.
Dance 1: 40 points – Oti called it the dance of the season and Brian gave his first standing ovation.
Dance 2: 38 points
They received a total of 78 points.

The show ended with a Dance Off between Jordan Dargan and Tolü Makay - and Jordan was eliminated. Alongside pro partner Rebecca Scott, Jordan is the last celebrity to leave the competition before the Grand Finale next Sunday, March 15.

This week, the remaining five contestants faced an extra challenge. After they performed their individual dance, each couple danced for a second time in a ‘Time Machine Trio’, where they were joined on the floor by a second professional dancer.

Next week is the Grand Finale of this season of Dancing with the Stars. Tune in on Sunday 15 March at 6.30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player to find out who will lift the Glitterball Trophy.
