Young members of the Thomastown Scout Group got creative, lat week, when MaryBeth Weiss, Class 1 and 2 teacher at the Kilkenny Steiner School, and a former Girl Scout, visited to lead a fun and eco-friendly craft workshop.
MaryBeth showed the scouts how to transform old t-shirts into yarn in order to make colourful skipping ropes, by cutting and weaving yarn with their hands.
The activity encouraged resourcefulness and creativity while demonstrating how everyday materials can be reused in imaginative ways.
