Property prices in Kilkenny lower than national average

According to the latest GeoDirectory Residential Buildings Report, Kilkenny had an average property price of €274,807 in 2022.

This was lower than the recorded national average of €354,060.

When Dublin is excluded from the study however, the national average house price falls to €270,855.

This exclusion catapults Kilkenny slightly above the national average.

The report also revealed that there were a total of 778 residential property transactions in Kilkenny last year.

Nationally, almost one-in-five of all residential property transactions involved a new dwelling (18.2%), with the highest proportion of new dwellings purchased in Kildare (43.5%).

Longford was the county with the lowest average house price (€162,990).
