A single-storey cottage in Castlecomer has come to auction with a super low asking price of €55,000.

The sales agent advises that 37 Barrack Hill is in very poor condition throughout.

It does have a small back yard, but there is very little scope to further extend on the ground floor level.

It is a property that is need of total refurbishment but should qualify for The Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant which is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage through the Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund.

The property is BER exempt.
