Renovating their 1970s bungalow overlooking the Rock of Cashel, the couple's snazzy new home turned out spectacular with glistening poured concrete floors, a stunning birch-ply staircase, and a peaceful outdoor patio area that takes in the breathtaking views of the Rock Cashel went down particularly well with the young couple.

Dermot and Co pulled out all the stops to make the most of the couple's tight budget while also utilising the derelict and vacant homes grant and the SEAI grant to build their forever home.

You can catch Room to Improve on RTÉ One on Sundays at 9.30pm.
