Some intense bidding took place recently during an online property auction as prospective buyers threw down the gauntlet in an attempt to purchase a three-bed end-of-terrace home in County Kilkenny.
7 Barrowmount Drive in Goresbridge attracted five bidders and 34 separate bids before the hammer finally fell for €126,000.
The auctioneer noted that although the home was in need of renovation, 'it offers the new purchaser a huge amount of potential'.
