A lone bidder recently snapped up a local property at online auction for €95,000.
They placed one solitary bid on a terraced property on Chapel Road in Gowran, and the hammer fell.
The auctioneer's description of the property is a 'charming 2-bed cottage' located 'in an ideal location, only a five minute walk away from the very centre of Gowran and still only a 15-minute drive from the heart of Kilkenny City'.
It is further described as being ideal as an investment property or for a first-time buyer looking for a great location to carry out their first renovation.
