Kilkenny property sells for more than €600k over its original asking price

Donaguile House in Castlecomer, County Kilkenny recently sold for €1,580,000 - according to the Property Price Register

A property in Kilkenny that went on the market with an asking price of €950,000 recently sold for €1,580,000 - according to figures obtained from the Property Price Register.

Donaguile House stands proudly on a secluded two-acre site within a short stroll of Castlecomer, and the property dates from c. 1839.

It was originally built by the Wandesfordes, the Yorkshire family who were given lands there in the late 1630s and who built the town itself.

The interior has featured in '25 Beautiful Homes' (UK) and in 'Ireland's Home Interiors and Living'.
