A 63 acre residential farm located at Screhan, Windgap was recently sold in lots and performed exceptionally well, selling for €1.17m, or €18,500/ac.
Auctioneer Sharon O’Brien sold the property in four lots.
The first of the lots to sell was the house and farmyard on 31 acres for €650,000.
The second lot to sell was a 16 acre parcel of land for €225,000.
The third lot was 6 acres and sold for €115,000 or €19,000/ac.
The fourth lot sold for €180,000.
The farm is regarded as good grazing ground and speaking after the auction Sharon O’Brien said that both herself and the vendor were "happy with the price which is well above the current average for agricultural land”.
