The death has occurred of Very Rev James Kyran Gahan
Killinure, Paulville House, Tullow, Carlow / Kilkenny / Wicklow / Wexford

The death has occurred of Very Rev. James Kyran Gahan PE, Killinure and Paulville House, Tullow, Co. Carlow. Retired Parish Priest of Clonmore. November 1st in the loving care of his niece Stasia Stanley, Neville and their family at Ballyda, Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, sisters Eileen, Stasia and Mary, brothers Fr. John, Donal and Joe. Deeply regretted by his sister Rita O' Byrne and sister-in-law Terry Gahan, nieces and nephews, grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, Bishop Denis Nulty, the priests of Kildare and Leighlin and former parishioners.

Reposing at the home of Neville and Stasia Stanley, Ballyda, Danesfort (R95 W01H) from 2pm Thursday with prayers at 8pm. Reposing at St Mary's Church Ballyconnell (R93 HE37) from 3pm Friday with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary Tullow, followed by burial in St Patrick's Cemetery Tullow.

The death has occurred of David Martin Walsh
Clogga, Mooncoin, Kilkenny

In loving memory of David Martin Walsh, the purest soul gone too soon. Predeceased by his mother Brigid. Sadly missed by his adoring children Dylan, Zoe, Adam, Sam, Hope and Mackenzie, father Martin, brother John Paul, sister-in-law Martina, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. May Davys legacy of love, dedication to his family and his sense of humour live on through his children.

Reposing on Friday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Arriving on Saturday at The Church of the Assumption, Mooncoin for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Burial after in the new cemetery Mooncoin. Family flowers only please, donations to Pieta House.

The death has occurred of Thomas Lanigan

Clonassey, Mullinavat, Kilkenny / Mullinavat, Waterford

Who died on Wednesday 1st November 2023.

Aged 76 Years.

Peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family, Predeceased by his parents Robert and Josie, brother Dan.

Thomas will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ann (née Foskin), sons Aidan and Tommy, daughters Bridget and Ciara, daughter-in-law June, sons-in-law Aaron and Richard,  grandchildren Olivia, Maeve, Kate, Esmai, Beíbhinn, Finn, Conn and Colette, brother Robert, sister Breda (Freyne), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Thomas will be reposing in Power's Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Friday, 3rd November, from 4.30pm until 7pm, Thomas's removal will take place from his home on Saturday, 4th November, to St. Beacon's Church, Mullinavat, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon after which Thomas will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Brigid (Bridie) Maher (née Murphy)
Larchfield, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Carrick-on-Suir, Waterford

Brigid (Bridie) Maher (née Murphy), (Larchfield, Kilkenny and late of Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Waterford) 1st of  November 2023 (peacefully) at her home. Predeceased by her husband Joe and her sisters Alice and Lolo. Beloved mother of Eilis, Catherine and William. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, son, sisters Helen and Margaret, son-in-law Patrick, daughter-in-law Kate, grandchildren Nathan, Joseph, Alice and Murphy, brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Sr. Philomena (Mary) Colleton
Coolnacritta, Galmoy, Kilkenny

Sr. Philomena (Mary) Colleton, Ursulines of Jesus, Stella Maris Convent, Swansea and formerly Coolnacritta, Galmoy Co. Kilkenny, peacefully on October 27th. 2023. Predeceased by her parents Tony and Anne, brother Jimmy and brother-in-law Mick Bergin. Deeply regretted by her loving family, Pat, Nellie (Bergin), Tommy and Martin, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and  her Community and Congregation at Stella Maris Convent Swansea and Court Na Cuddy, Wexford.

Rest in Peace 

Reposing at Stella Maris Convent Swansea  on Thursday November 9th. Requiem mass on Friday November 10th. at 12.30 followed by burial in the adjoining Convent Cemetery. Messages of condolence can be placed on the page provided below. Memorial mass for Sr. Philomena will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Galmoy at a later date.
