Heartbreak in Kilkenny after popular local 'with a heart of gold' passes away
People from Kilkenny have been paying tribute to Jenny Ely, who passed away recently, with countless heartfelt messages on RIP.ie.
Jenny was from Bayswell, Crosspatrick in Kilkenny and died on March 30th 2025, peacefully in The Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford in the presence of her loving family.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her heartbroken husband Robert, her adored children Keith and Anne-Marie, her mother Josephine, grandchildren Jamie, Teegan, Darragh and Maisie, son-in-law Paddy, daughter-in-law Orla, brother Stephen, sisters Mary, Linda, Lorraine and Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Jenny, with one mourner writing,
"Robert, my most sincere condolences to you, Keith and Annmarie. Jenny had a long battle, she fought it bravely. A lady I can only call her, we will miss her from Bayswell."

Another message said, "Jenny will always be remembered for the kind and caring woman that she was. It was always a pleasure to be in her company. Very sad to hear of her passing and sincere condolences to all of Jenny’s family, friends and all the people who were blessed to know her. May she RIP."
"Sincere sympathy to Robert, Keith, Ann - Marie and extended Ely and Parkinson families on your great loss. Jenny was a lovely lady, an inspiration to us all despite her illness, always enjoyed our chats at Castlecomer District hospital, Rest in Peace Jenny xx", another mourner said.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Reposing at St. Michael's Church Crosspatrick on Wednesday April 2nd 2025 from 4 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Removal from her residence on Thursday morning to St. Kieran's Church Johnstown arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock. Cremation takes place afterwards in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork at 3 o'clock.
