The death has occurred of Seamus Byrne
Ardagh, Clifden, Galway / Kilkenny

With heavy hearts we share the devastating news of the sudden death of Seamus Byrne, Ardagh, Clifden, formerly 43 Larchfield, Kilkenny.

Predeceased by his infant brother Edward.

Seamus will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Eileen and his children Tara-Louise, Conor and Kyle. Seamus will be sadly missed by his parents Ted and Kitty, his siblings Siobhan (O'Neill), Eamonn, Micheal, Sinead (Colleran), sister and brother in laws, father and mother in law. Seamus was cherished by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May his Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Station Road, Thomastown, Kilkenny

The death has taken place of Johnny Cody, Station Road, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully at his residence. Sadly missed by his sons & daughters Sinead, Ailish, Eoin Ída and Antoin, many grandchildren, brother Michael, sister-in-law Mary, sons-in-law Garet & Alan, daughters-in-law Catherine and Majella, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his daughter Ída's residence Station Road, Thomastown (R95 PR8A) from 4pm on Tuesday 2nd December, with rosary & vigil prayers at 6.30pm. Leaving from his residence to arrive for 11am requiem mass on Wednesday 3rd December in The Church of The Assumption, Thomastown, followed by burial in St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.

Love Lane, Castlecomer, Kilkenny / Clondalkin, Dublin
Raymond Lazenby

Passed away suddenly, leaving his family heartbroken.

Beloved father of Aoife and Emily, and lovingly remembered by Catherine, mother of his children. Cherished brother of June, Gene and Linda.

Ray was a light to everyone he met, known for his warmth, humour and kind heart.

Ray will be sadly missed by his devastated daughters Aoife and Emily, Catherine, sisters June, Gene and Linda, brothers-in-law Pat and George, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reunited now with his beloved Mam and Dad.

The death has taken place of James (Jim) Maher, Jerpoint West, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny and formerly of England and Dungarvan, Co Kilkenny, Peacefully in the care of the staff of St Columba's Hospital, Thomastown. 28th November 2025.

Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

The death has occurred of Anne Moylan (née Drennan)
34 Greenview, Ballyragget, Kilkenny

Predeceased by her father Dan, her mother Ann and partner Tommy.

Anne will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Anne Marie, Elayne, and Kathy son Patrick, grandchildren Naomi, Sophie, Shay, Sadie, Daley, Tommy, Jessica and JJ.

Daughter in law Christine, son in law Paddy. Sister Chris, Brothers Denis and PJ, sisters in law Briggie, Nell and Imelda, brother in law Michael, nieces, nephews, relatives and wonderful friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Moran’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer (R95 PD82) from 3pm Monday 1st December concluding with Vigil prayers and Rosary at 7.00pm.

Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballyragget at 11am for requiem Mass on Tuesday morning.

Burial will take place afterwards in Ballinakill cemetery.

The family wish to send a special thank you to the staff of the Nore Ward, St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Especially the Palliative Care Team for their care and compassion.

The death has occurred of Mark Grace
Meallaghmore Upper, Windgap, Kilkenny, R95 Y2N4

Unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, 27th November 2025.

Pre-deceased by his Nanny’s Biddy and Molly, his grandfather Dick and his uncle Toss.

Mark will be forever loved and deeply missed by his heartbroken family, his father Dermot, his mother Brigid, his dearly loved sister Stacey, his partner Lauryn and his adored son Tadgh, his grandfather Frank, his brother-in-law Alan, his much loved nephews Kaiden and Kallum, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

May Mark Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his residence, Meallaghmore Upper, Windgap (Eircode R95 Y2N4), on Tuesday, 2nd December from 2pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap for Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning, 3rd December at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at home in the care of her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Paddy and loving mam to Raymond, Pauline, Brian and Ian. Maureen will be very sadly missed by her loving sons and daughter, son-in-law Dario, daughters-in-law Elaine and Florence, brother Dick, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends especially her best friend Kay and neighbours.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Wednesday afternoon 3rd December from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Thursday morning 4th December to the Church of the Assumption, Howth arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in St Fintan’s Cemetery.

Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her daughters Maggie and Hilda, partner Tom O'Mara, and Maggie's partner Wayne, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandchild.

Reposing at the residence of her daughter Hilda, 6 Ottomy Avenue on Monday, 1st December.

Removal on Tuesday to St. Patrick & St. Brigid's Church, Clane for Requiem Mass at 11.30am

Elizabeth will be laid to rest thereafter in the Crosshill Cemetery, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, for arrival at approximately 2.30pm

The death has occurred of Aidan Magee
Newtown, Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny

Aidan died peacefully after a short illness in the wonderful care of St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny.

Aidan's burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Graiguenamanagh at 11am on Tuesday 2nd of December and all are welcome to attend.

The family wish to send a special thank you to the staff of St. Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny, especially the Palliative Care Team for their care and compassion.

The death has occurred of Gloria O'Shaughnessy (née Morrissey)
35 Upper Patrick Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Gloria passed away on 28th November 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Kilkenny Care Centre. Beloved wife of the late Sean and much loved mother of Catherina, John, Declan, Eamon and Shirley. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her sister-in-law Siobhán, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Gloria is predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary and her brother Paddy.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Sunday (30th Nov) from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny. Interment afterwards in Foulkstown Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Bernard Ryan
Ballybeg Big, Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny

Bernard died peacefully in St Lukes Hospital Kilkenny on Saturday 29th of November.

Predeceased by his brothers Johnny and Tom.

Deeply regretted by his brother William, sister in law Elizabeth, brothers Larry and Michael, sisters Breda and Mary, sisters in law Kathleen and Mary, his nephew Thomas, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, neighbours, friends and his wonderful carers.

Reposing in Walsh's Funeral Home, Graiguenamanagh from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday the 30th followed by removal to his home in Ballybeg.

Removal on Monday at 10.30am to arrive at St Moling's Church, Glynn for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Mullins cemetery.
