The late Michael Comerford

The death has occurred of Michael Comerford Michael, Ballyquirke, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, died 20th January 2019 , at his daughter Marys residence ( peacefully) in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Peggy. Sadly missed by his children, John, Helen, Tom, Jim, and Mary, grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, sister in law, neighbours, relatives, and friends. R.I.P. Reposing at his daughter Mary's residence, Aughtaneey, Ballycallan, Co. Kilkenny, Post Code R95 TP44 from 2 o clock on Monday with rosary at 9pm. Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday in church of the Assumption Gowran followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The late Sally Fennelly

The death has occurred of Sally Fennelly (nee Phelan), Westcourt, Callan, Co. Kilkenny (formerly of Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary), peacefully on Sunday, 20th January, 2019 in the loving care of Sarah and Staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan. Pre-deceased by her husband Jim and son Pierce. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons and daughters, brother, sister, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan on Tuesday from 6pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Prayers on Wednesday morning at 10.30am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Mount Carmel Home, Callan.

The late John (Sonny) O'Keeffe

The death has occurred of John (Sonny) O'Keeffe, Moonvour, Clonassey, Mullinavat, Kilkenny. Husband of the late Margaret (Peg) and father of the late John (Jnr). Deeply regretted by his loving daughters, Catherine (Monaghan), Mary (Hiscock), Margaret (Maguire) and Carmel (Murphy), sons James and Patrick, sisters Mary and Kitty, brothers Jim and Ned, daughters-in-law, sons-in-laws, twelve grandchildren, great-grandson, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Monday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow, from 4.00pm with prayers at 7.00pm followed by removal, via his residence, to St. Beacon’s Church, Mullinavat. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please.

The late Sr Leonie Dobbyn

The death has occurred of Sr. Leonie Dobbyn,  St. John of God Retreat Centre, Ballyvaloo, Wexford and formerly of Woodstock, Inistioge, Kilkenny) January 19th 2019, at Sallyville House, Newtown Road, Wexford, Sr. Leonie, pre-deceased by her brother Jim, her sisters Rita and Kathleen; sadly missed by her sister Moira, sister-in-law Theresa, nieces, nephews, St. John of God Sisters, extended family and many friends.

Reposing in the Convent Chapel, Sallyville House from 2pm on Sunday, 20th January. Evening Prayer at 6pm. Requiem Mass in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rowe Street, at 12 noon on Monday, followed by burial in Foulkstown Cemetery, Kilkenny.

The late Johnny Keating

The death has occurred of John (Johnny) Keating, Wolfhill, Laois and formerly of Crutt, Clogh, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny at Thr Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen, sons Francis and Paul, and their partners Julie and Sheila, grandsons James and Jake, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer from 3pm on Sunday with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Prayers on Monday morning at 10.45am followed by removal to Saint Mary's Church, Wolfhill arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 Noon, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The late Betty Burke

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Burke (nee Grace) (28 Assumption Place, Kilkenny) 18th January 2019, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital, Elizabeth (Betty), beloved wife of the late Christy and much loved mother of Mick, Thomas, Marie, Patricia, Claire, Ann, Veronica, Ber and the late Christy, sadly missed by her family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Sunday (20th January) from 3 o'clock with Rosary at 7 o'clock. Funeral Prayers on Monday morning at 9.30 o'clock followed by removal to St. John's Church for Requiem Mass at 10.30 o'clock. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran's Cemetery.

The late Mary Evelyn McAleer

The death has occurred of Mary Evelyn McAleer, (nee Mullins), Clashcollaire, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully on Thursday 17th January 2019 in the loving care of Sarah and Staff at Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home, Callan. Pre-deceased by her husband Bill. Deeply regretted by her loving family in Ireland and England, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home on Monday from 5pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Prayers on Tuesday morning at 10am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan. Family Flowers only please , donations if desired to Warwick Myton Hospice.
