Deaths in Kilkenny for Wednesday, January 23

The late Paddy Coogan

The death has occurred of Paddy Coogan, Smithstown Road, Drumgoole, Castlecomer, Kilkenny and formerly of Athy, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Geraldine, loving father of Noel, Shane and Tracey, dear brother of Mary, John and Billy. Sadly missed by his loving daughters-in-law Suzanne and Ashling, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

 Reposing at his home from 2pm on Thursday. Vigil Prayers and Rosary on Thursday evening at 8pm. Funeral Prayers on Friday morning at 9.45am followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, for Requeim Mass at 11am, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. House Private please on Friday morning. Family Flowers only, donations if desired to the Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team (Donation Box in Church).

The late Fr Eamon Horgan

The death has occurred of Fr Eamonn Horgan, (Columban Fathers) St. Columban's, Dalgan Park, Navan and late of Littlefield, Co. Kilkenny; Japan and Britain missions. 21st January 2019: in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan and St. Columban's Retirement Home, Navan. Fr Eamonn predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Mary Margaret, his sisters Sheila O'Keeffe and Maura Finnigan, brother Fr. Padraig; very deeply regretted by his sisters Eileen O'Regan and and Sr. Nuala (Medical Missionaries of Mary) nieces, nephews, extended family, Columban Family and friends.

Reposing at St Columban's, Dalgan Park, Navan. Evening Prayer on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am followed by burial in the Community Cemetery.
