Kilkenny resident and Munster Rugby legend Mick Galwey was in high spirits last weekend as he made his way to Twickenham to cheer on Ireland in their Six Nations clash against England.
The former second row, who proudly wore the red jersey for Munster Rugby from 1987 until 2003, travelled to London for Ireland’s impressive 42–21 victory over their old rivals.

"What a joy that purely by chance I ended up sitting between these two fab guys on my Aer Lingus flight to London just now," RTE broadcaster, Miriam O'Callaghan posted to social media.
"Rugby’s finest Mick Galwey who happens to come from Currow in the Kingdom of Kerry where my wonderful Dad is from, and ace rugby writer Gerry Thornley of the Irish Times - a glorious journey was had full of craic and warmth! Come on Ireland."
