Permission sought for extension at school in Kilkenny

Permission is sought for the construction of a single-storey extension (height of 7.2m approx.) to St Patrick’s Special School, Kells Road, Kilkenny.

These proposed works comprise of the reconfiguration of the existing building elevation for the provision of six classroom special needs units and central activities area as well as ancillary pupil and staff facilities.

Also sought is a new bike shelter, car parking spaces, hard and soft play areas and landscaping, the removal of trees to accommodate the new site layout and new attenuation tank and roof surface PV panels.

The application is currently in the pre-validation stage with Kilkenny County Council.
