Aoife Kenneally and Ugne Sllizaite / Picture: Presentation Secondary School, Kilkenny
Two very talented fifth year art students at Presentation Secondary School in Kilkenny, Aoife Kenneally and Ugne Sllizaite, recently completed a beautiful wall mural inspired by the Japanese print 'The Great Wave of Kanagawa' by Hokusai.
Its purpose was to create a space to exhibit the ceramic tiles designed by junior students.
The students had to research an artist and emulate their style in the form of a fish.
The idea was influenced by the cartoonist John Atkinson’s famous illustration 'The Art School Of Fish'.
Well done to Ms Hennessy and all the students involved and to Anthony Adams for all his help preparing the area for display.
