Leaving Cert 2024 is upon us as Sixth Year students make their way into exam halls across the county for English paper one at 9.30am today (Wednesday).
Getting a good night’s sleep before exams, staying hydrated and knowing your timetable are essential to get the very best of your abilities.

Prior to an exam, it may also be worth becoming familiar with past-papers to get a clear picture of the lay-out of the paper, while being early for each exam is recommended to avoid any unnecessary additional pressure.
For some, the exam can’t come soon enough; for others the day they’ve been dreading has arrived. But, whatever happens, the exam is only one of multiple routes available to students. It won’t determine your life, it’s simply a stepping stone on a long journey to a world full of career prospects.
