Councillor Andrea Dalton has been selected as the new chairperson of the Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board (KCETB).

At the first full meeting of the new board the members and executive team also thanked the outgoing chair Cllr Fergal Browne for his stewardship over the previous two years and acknowledged his support for the many activities of Kilkenny and Carlow ETB, including its ten year celebrations.
Cllr Dalton was warmly congratulated by the board members and the executive team and wished well during her term.
A native of Carlow, Ms Dalton holds a strong background in community based education through her work in St Catherine’s Community Services Centre, and her role as a council member.
