Kilkenny teacher retires after 42 years of unbroken service

This summer we bade farewell to Catherine Rice Kelly who retired after 42 years unbroken teaching service in Callan.

Catherine's career has spanned the entire life of the Clashacollaire campus of Coláiste Éamann Rís with a year in the old West Street school and two in Coláiste Abhainn Rí thrown in for good measure.

Her pursuit of excellence in the classroom, care of our students and involvement in extra curricular activities are just some of the things noted about Catherine.

We wish Catherine a long, happy and healthy retirement.
