Safe to School - Kilkenny pupils' routes to school getting safer

Graignamanagh and Stoneyford schools most recent to benefit from scheme

Works under the Safe to School scheme have begun in Graignamanagh.

Resurfacing of the link road is complete and work on paths and the installation of ramps will be completed later this month.

The road at the girls’ school is to  be resurfaced. Plans for this have to be resubmitted and Kilkenny County Council is waiting for the National Transport Authority to approve drawings.

Work has also recently been completed at the primary school in Stoneyford.  Railings have been installed along the footpath at the pedestrian entrance.
