Abbey Community College has congratulated its Junior Cycle class of 2024 on their outstanding Junior Cycle examination results.
"We are extremely proud of all our students, and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate every single one of them on this special day," said school principal Michelle Jefford.
"Today marks a significant educational milestone for our students, their families, and the primary schools they attended, all of whom have provided unwavering support during their time at Abbey Community College and have played essential roles in our thriving school community.
Principal Jefford thanked all the staff of Abbey Community College, teaching and non-teaching for their dedication and support to the Junior Cycle class of 2024.
"There is always an elite group of students who excel academically beyond the national averages," she said. "This year, we have noted a significant rise in the percentage of our students achieving distinctions, the highest accolade attainable at the Junior Cycle. The examination results received today will be combined with outcomes of Classroom Based Assessments, short courses and other areas of learning to create the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) award for each student.
"Reflecting on these Junior Cycle examination results, we take great pride in our school community, which consistently demonstrates academic excellence with enthusiasm and commitment as we strive Together Towards Excellence." READ MORE KILKENNY SCHOOL NEWS HERE
