Kilkenny graduates top of the class after securing prestigious awards

Niamh Jones and Clare Kelly from Kilkenny were both named prize winners at this year’s graduation ceremonies at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT).

Over 1,300 students graduated from the third level college at six separate ceremonies on the campus.

Niamh won the Duggan Veterinary Prize for Excellence in Anaesthesia, and was presented with her prize by Meghan Ingram from Duggan Veterinary. Clare won the 2024 Presidents Prize for Higher Diploma in Arts in Teaching in Early Learning and Care for the FET Sector.

Meanwhile, students from across the four academic schools the School of Business and Humanities, School of Engineering, School of Informatics and Creative Arts, and the School of Health and Science graduated with qualifications from certificate to PhD level.
