Over the past decade, the school teacher and former Kilkenny senior hurler has been an integral part of the school community.
"His dedication, passion, and warmth have left an indelible mark on all of us," a school spokesperson posted to social media.

"As Mr Holden prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter as Deputy Principal in Ballingarry, while we are deeply saddened to see him go, we are equally thrilled for him and the wonderful opportunity that lies ahead," the post added.
"Ballingarry is incredibly fortunate to welcome not only a talented Kilkenny hurler but also an outstanding educator, leader, and role model who has touched the lives of so many here at KCVS."
"Best of luck on this exciting new adventure Mr Holden! We’ll see you soon!," the post concluded.
