Presentation Kilkenny make history with All-Ireland Final glory

For the first time in their history, Presentation Secondary School in Kilkenny have been crowned All-Ireland Junior A Champions.

"This group of players have narrowly lost two National finals in as many years so we are thrilled they have finally summited the top tier of Junior Volleyball in our country," the city school posted to social media.

"A phenomenal effort with style and flair in their play saw them overcome St Brigids College Loughrea in a pulsating final.

"As with all sports, grassroots coaching builds success and all credit must go to local club Kilkenny Spartans Volleyball Club for whom these girls train with several times per week," the school continued.

"The day was topped off with an incredible performance from our 1st Year Volleyball team, all of whom took up this sport as a new hobby this year who overcame Presentation Killarney to claim the All Ireland D title," they added.

"Two All-Ireland titles in one day - not a bad Monday," the post concluded.

MVP for both games went to Pres girls Caitlin O'Keeffe and Mili Dimitrivic.
