As part of the Religious Education Junior Cycle course students at Castlecomer Community School are studying the Major World Religions.
Islam is one the major religions being studied as part of the syllabus and students were recently given a first-hand chance to experience aspects of the religion up close.

On Tuesday, 2nd years visited the Islamic Foundation of Ireland in Dublin where they were given a presentation about Islam and a tour of the Mosque.
Great insight was provided about various aspects of Islam and the students will be able to take this knowledge with them going forward.
