Students across Kilkenny received their Junior Cycle results this morning, marking the end of a significant chapter in their educational journey.
Amongst the schools celebrating a great batch of results this year is Castlecomer Community School in North Kilkenny.

Principal Pat Murphy congratulated the school's Junior Cycle students of 2025 on 'their exceptional results'.
"Through focused teaching and learning from our outstanding staff, combined with the hard work of our students we have more than doubled the number of distinctions achieved this year," he said.
"On top of this we are very proud to announce that our rate of distinctions achieved has trebled over the last three years.

"Further progress can be seen in the number of higher merits achieved by our students, which has also risen by 50% since last year.
"We are particularly proud of Madeleine O’Dwyer, Rico Morris, Kian Thunder and Lucy O’Gorman each of whom achieved exceptional results.
"On a momentous week when we launched our Magenta Principles book which documents the excellent teaching and learning
culture in our school, it is heartening to know that all the work we have put into constantly seeking out ways to improve our school are working and our results today are evidence of that.
"The Junior Cert is an important stepping-for our students on their journey through their teenage years.

"As well as the classroom-based assessments in the first two years, the final exams in third year give them a real taste of what state examinations are like and what is ahead of them in sixth year and beyond.
"It is an important milestone in their educational journey and gives them great direction when it comes to picking their Leaving Certificate subjects and ultimately their preferred profession.
"Congratulations to all of our Junior Cycle class of 2025, we are looking forward to working with you on your Leaving Cert journey already!"
