Scoil Aireagail, Ballyhale, is delighted to welcome its new school leadership team, with Linda McCormack taking up the position of Principal alongside Deputy Principal, Shane Fallon.

The new leadership team is looking forward to working together with students, staff, parents and the wider community, building on the many strengths and traditions of Scoil Aireagail and ensuring that excellent teaching, learning and opportunities for students remain at the heart of school life.

Ms McCormack brings extensive experience in educational leadership, having previously served as a Deputy Principal and, prior to that, as an Assistant Principal for 10 years.

Throughout her career, she has been committed to creating positive and inclusive learning environments, with a strong belief in the potential of every student and the importance of providing opportunities for all to succeed.

“I am absolutely delighted and very proud to be taking up the position of Principal of Scoil Aireagail,” Ms McCormack said. “From my first interactions with the school, I have been struck by the strong sense of community here and the commitment of staff to their students.

“I am very much looking forward to working alongside our Deputy Principal, Mr Shane Fallon, and the entire staff as a leadership team. We want to build on the excellent work already taking place in Scoil Aireagail, with high expectations for all of our students and a continued commitment to high-quality teaching and learning at the heart of what we do.

“I am also looking forward to getting to know our students and families and to strengthening the school’s connections with the wider Ballyhale community. A school is very much at the heart of its community, and I am excited about what we can achieve together in the years ahead.”

A native of Kilkenny, Ms McCormack studied at Mary Immaculate College and the University of Limerick. She holds a number of qualifications in education and school leadership, including a Postgraduate Diploma in School Leadership, and is currently undertaking a PhD in Educational Leadership and Inclusion.
