Football legends welcomed to Kilkenny

Kilkenny welcomed soccer royalty over the weekend as Liverpool and Ireland heroes Ray Houghton and Ronnie Whelan along with legendary Liverpool FC and England midfielder, Steve McMahon stayed in Kilkenny.

The legendary ballers set up shop at the Avalon House Hotel in Castlecomer ahead of their sold-out Liverpool Legends show at The Watergate Theatre in Kilkenny City.

The show gave many local fans an opportunity to meet and greet their heroes and share memories and insights with them.

The trio will now continue on their nationwide tour.
