Explained - How Irish fans can now apply for Europa League final tickets in Dublin

Irish fans can now apply for tickets to attend the UEFA Europa League final in Dublin next month, where Irish Liverpool fans will be hoping Jurgen Klopp's men secure another trophy

How

The Europa League final takes place in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin in less than two months, and Irish Liverpool fans have been passionately hoping Jurgen Klopp's men can make it to the final.

Liverpool are joined by European giants AC Milan, Benfica, Marseille, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham, Atalanta, and Roma in the quarter-finals and will many fancy the Reds' chances of qualifying.

The two teams to make it to the final will descend on Dublin for May 22, playing in 'the Dublin Arena', as UEFA, European football’s governing body, doesn’t recognise stadiums named after a sponsor such as Aviva.

Tickets for the Europa League final will be distributed under a lottery system. Applications opened yesterday for tickets to the final, and will remain open until Tuesday, April 16th.

Through the official UEFA website, fans can apply for up to four tickets. Supporters will be asked to select which, if any, of the eight teams they support, and whether they are still interested if their team fails to qualify.

Once fans have applied, they will be entered into a random lottery for tickets. There will be three price categories - €65, €100 and €150.

The two clubs in the final will receive an allocation of 12,000 tickets each, and UEFA has said the remaining 36,000 tickets will be available to the general public.
