The Fort Rangers junior side will play their first competitive game under new manager Emmet Nugent on Sunday, September 1, when they travel to Durrow to take on Lions in the first round of the Pat Maher Shield.
Nugent has been a prominent player for Freebooters and Fort Rangers down through years, with his performances earning him a number of accolades including regular selections on the Kilkenny Oscar Traynor team.
