Presentation Kilkenny came from a goal behind to book their spot in the FAI Junior Girls National Cup Final, beating Carndonagh Community School (Donegal) in Oriel Park on Thursday.
The 'Pres came closest to breaking deadlock inside the opening 16 minutes as efforts from Meadhbh Doherty and Kate Ryan were denied by the Carndonagh goalkeeper and crossbar respectively.
The first goal of the game did arrive soon after, but against the local outfit. A wonderful through ball from Maeve Doherty played in Orla Ward to open the scoring for Carndonagh, a lead they would hold until half-time.

The city school needed leadership, so step up team captain Olivia Dunphy, who netted the equaliser directly from corner-kick, catching everyone off guard on the 43rd minute (1-1).
The pendulum had swung Presentation's way at this point and they took the lead on the 55th minute as Meadhbh Doherty converted the match's defining goal.
In response, Carndonagh emptied the bench but to no avail as the Kilkenny school advance to the decider.
