PICTURES: Celebrations galore as Kilkenny clubs win prestigious competitions

Stoneyford Utd and Fort Rangers both had reason to celebrate last weekend

There was jubilant scenes in Derdimus over the weekend as the clubs of Stoneyford Utd and Fort Rangers celebrated cup success in the Seanie O'Connor Shield and Billy Leahy Memorial Cup competitions respectively. (PICTURES BELOW)

Stoneyford Utd recorded a 2-1 win over local near neighbours Southend to win the shield, with Damien Raggett and PJ Fennelly on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Fort Rangers capped off a great season with a 4-0 over Lions in the decider. The squad, managed by Jim & Emmet Nugent along with Paddy Cahill secured promotion to the Premier Division earlier this month and avenged two league losses to last weekend's opponents to finish the season with cup glory.
