Freebooters A 0, Evergreen A 3 - Evergreen (1st) moved two points clear at the top of the table after a comfortable 0-3 win away on the Fair Green. The defeat leaves ‘Booters (3rd) eight points off the top.
Gary Maher’s side seemed appeared comfortable throughout despite just a Sam Hickey goal (18th minute) standing between the sides at half-time.
A razor sharp ball across the face of the Freebooters box carved open the game’s second goal just past the hour mark with David Grincell at the end of the ball to tap home for his ninth goal in all competitions this season.
A Mikey Drennan penalty just 15 minutes later killed any glimmer of hope of the home side rescuing a point with an El Harrak goal for Freebooters ruled offside in the final quarter.

After just five minutes a free kick from Josh Barcoe found the head of Craig Wall to score.
The second goal of the contest arrived just seven minutes later as Pierce Blanchfield bagged his second of the season, with the game sewn up with nine minutes to play of the opening half as Daire Dwyer fired home from the edge of the box.
The back to back McCalmont Cup champions were forced to play almost 50 minutes of play with 10 players following the dismissal of Padraig Nolan.
The away side did pull back a goal courtesy of a late 96th penalty courtesy of Shay O’Donovan but it was too little too late with Callan Utd recording just a single victory this season.
