There were joyous scenes in Ormonde Villa on Easter Sunday as the club secured promotion to Division 1 with a 3-1 home victory against Evergreen C.
Whether or not the title will be heading to Garringreen depends on River Rangers getting a result in their final league game in just under two weeks time against Deen Celtic B but that didn’t deflate Sunday’s atmosphere.
The league’s top scorer Owen Wall steered his home club to promotion with two first half penalties (22nd and 25th minutes) while Cian Loy’s finish just past the hour mark made sure the day went to script for the city club.
