Soccer: Fixtures from the Kilkenny & District League

The Kilkenny & District League is back in full flow with plenty of fixtures planned for this weekend.

The city's big two, Evergreen and Freebooters, will be in FAI Junior Cup action on Sunday. Evergreen are home to Cappry Rovers, while Freebooters travel to Wexford to play Gorey Rangers. Elsewhere Highview Athletic host Thomastown United A in the Premier Division - the game will be a dress-rehearsal for the Maher Shield final, which will also feature the same two sides.

Two young inter-league teams will also be in action on Sunday. The Kilkenny under-15s head to Naas for a Leinster clash with Kildare, while the under-13s have a meeting with neighbours Carlow.
