Locals in 'Graig' hope to be back in the running for a national award in 2024 - Kilkenny Live

After a long absence, locals are hopeful that Graignamanagh will make a return to the SuperValu TidyTowns competition this year. 

In order to start preparations a town clean up has been planned for Saturday from 11am at the Daisy Chain. All who can spare a few minutes to help are invited to come along. High visibility vests, gloves and pickers will be available or people can bring their own. Refreshments will also be available for those taking part.

In other local developments over 200 Lonicera Pileata shrubs were planted in the area of the scout den and the boathouse, with some wildflower seeds planted also. Kilkenny Co Council also removed dead trees and planted some new trees in the area too.
