German Erasmus students have taken Thomastown to their hearts in recent as they attend the LXI English Language School in the Co Kilkenny town.
"They are enjoying English classes, Irish music, host family accommodation, Irish food, cultural trips, Thomastown Historic talk, and social evenings," a post to the LanguageXchange Facebook page posted.
"It was a great opportunity for them to learn English and experience Irish culture," the post added.
Language Xchange Ireland is one of Ireland’s leading Erasmus Plus partner companies and their programmes are tailored to meet the needs of students and teachers who wish to gain international English language experience and develop confidence speaking English in a business environment.
Locally, a centre for the company is based at Berkley Lawn in Thomastown.
