Kilkenny community at wits end as dumping continues

The most recent case of dumping was discovered in Windgap on Friday when sign posts were being upgraded in the area.

It included two large pieces of carpet, one from a bathroom upgrading job that was dumped over the ditch beside the river where bluebells and natural woodland plants abounded.

The second piece, with an identical pattern, only made it into the roadside shore at the foot of the ditch.

The unsocial trend has also seen builders’ material and privet hedge cuttings been dumped on a nearby byroad in recent times.
