Defibrillator Windgap fundraiser

Support the fundraisers for the upkeep of local defibrillators

Funding for the upkeep of the three defibrillators in Windgap and Tullahought will take place in the coming week.

In the past year a training course for 12 operators took place in May and the defibrillator in Skeough has been serviced and both sets of pads replaced.

The expenses for the coming year include the re-training of 60 people in three groups by the end of the year and a further two groups in the New Year. The original three defibrillators outside Windgap NS, the Parochial House in Windgap and at Tullahought Community Centre  are due to be serviced this coming autumn, whilst the defibrillators in Killamery and Lamogue are to be serviced in January with all of them getting two new sets of pads.

The annual Cake and Home Produce Sale will take place after the Cemetery Mass in Windgap on Friday, August 3.

Items for sale can be left in to the tented area in Windgap Village on Friday from 6pm onwards. Raffle tickets for a Hamper and other prizes will be sold at the cake sale and the draw will take place after Mass.

A similar fundraising raffle will be held after the Cemetery Mass in Tullahought on Thursday, August 2. The committee would like to thank everyone for their on-going support, for this very worthy cause.
