Concerns over steep Kilkenny road as icy conditions forecast

Cllr Ger Frisby has highlighted concerns from motorists in the Ferrybank area of South Kilkenny about a local road as icy conditions are forecast for later this week.

Abbey Road in Ferrybank is quite steep and caters for a lot of early morning traffic including a busy school run.

At today's meeting of Piltown Municipal District Council, Cllr Frisby asked Area Engineer Stan Cullen if the Council will keep the road in mind over the next few days.

Cullen noted the councillor's comments and stated that there is a robust system in place for designating priority when it comes to gritting roads.
