Wishes to recruit an
AFTERSCHOOL MANAGER (to cover maternity leave)
Newpark Close FRC Afterschool Manager is responsible for the overall management
and operation of a high-quality Afterschool Service. This includes ensuring that the
service meets legal and best practice standards, provides a safe and nurturing
environment for children, and operates within the specified budget and funding
structures. The Manager will liaise with relevant external services and plays a key
role in staff management, programme development, and financial oversight.
This role demands a balance of administrative, financial, and leadership skills,
combined with a deep commitment to high-quality care and education for children.
The Manager must be able to adapt to changing regulations, maintain a positive and
collaborative work environment, and ensure that the service meets the needs of both
children and their families.
Essential:
Applicants must possess a qualification in Early Childhood Education
Minimum Level 7
A minimum of three years’ experience in a management position in an Early
Years’ Service or Afterschool service.
IT skills, proficient in Microsoft office systems and Pobal Portals
Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills with ability to work
flexibly
Experience of managing and working collaboratively with internal and external
stakeholders.
Managing and supervising staff
Significant Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements in the
Afterschool’s Sector
Experience of high-quality professional writing including the generation of
documents such as letters and reports
Highly motivated, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team with
excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate.
Desirable:
Management experience in a Community Afterschool’s or youth Setting
